Carl J. Bentley is Vice President of Strategic Staffing Solutions’ corporate team and manages the day-to-day operations of its largest branch, the Detroit branch, as well as several other branch locations across the U.S. Bentley has nearly 40 years of experience in management and information technology. His contributions have afforded S³ success in excellent customer service and marketing which has been a central part of the company’s continued growth. Before joining S³ in 1999, Bentley served the City of Detroit as Director of the Information Technology Services Department and previous to that was the Vice President of the Telecommunication Services Division at Comerica Incorporated. In early 2006, the LTC entered into a strategic partnership with the State of Louisiana and the Louisiana Department of Economic Development (LED). LED has provided funding for the LTC to develop and implement a business recovery / office incubator center for Greater New Orleans small businesses hard hit by Hurricane Katrina. The center focuses on helping technology companies but any business can participate. The LTC/LED – Business Recovery Center (BRC) currently serves as temporary office space for several displaced businesses who might otherwise have had to close their doors. Each company located in the center pays a small fee for the space and the multiple services provided to them. The BRC has received additional donations from the Pittsburgh Technology Council (20 IBM laptop computers), Cox Business Services (high-speed internet and phone service) and Waldemar S. Anthony G. (Tony) Barnes is the Director of Southeast Operations for Access Systems Incorporated. He has more than 20 years of professional and technical experience in the information systems and software engineering fields. Experienced in requirements analysis, system design, integration and implementation and high volume call center management.

Before joining Access Systems, Mr. Barnes led over 100 IT professionals while serving as the Lockheed Martin Program Manager for the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS). Located at the Space and Naval Warfare System Center in New Orleans, LA, NSIPS is the Navy’s authoritative data source for personnel information, and the largest PeopleSoft HR implementation in the Federal Government. Under Mr. Barnes’ leadership, NSIPS was recognized as one of the top 8 software development programs within the Department of Defense by the Air Force’s prestigious “Top 5” consortium and one of the top 25 e-Gov applications for 2005.

Mr. Barnes retired from the Navy following 20 years of service as a Master Chief Petty Officer. Michael Flores is co-owner of GCR & Associates, Inc., New Orleans, LA and serves as the President and Technical Director for the company. Mike has been active in the design and development of computer software since 1966 and currently directs the design of web-enabled applications for federal, state, and local agencies nationwide. The web-enabled airport facilities and operations reporting system designed by Mr. Flores is used today by all FAA and state inspectors to update the National Flight Data Center (NFDC) database for all 18,000+ airports in North America.

Gary Dye Northrop Grumman IT LTC Board Member Gary Dye is Northrop Grummans Senior Information Technology representative in New Orleans leading the team that is developing and integrating the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System (DIMHRS) for the Department of Defense. He is responsible for sales management and customer relationship for metro New Orleans enterprise and general business commercial accounts.

After a successful 13-year career as a petroleum geologist in New Orleans, Mike joined PSI, a 30-year old information technology consulting firm, nearly 15 years ago as a scientific analyst. He moved steadily up the ranks and is now Assistant Vice President of PSI's Gulf & West Coast Group, which includes approximately 40 personnel who work out of PSI's offices in Slidell, LA and Jacksonville, FL, and in Monterey and San Diego, CA. As part of PSI's executive team, Mike is responsible for management of combined operating and capital budgets of approximately $1.2M, payroll of approximately $1.8M, and administration of work performed at all offices to ensure 100% direct charge coverage for technical employees, resulting in more than $3.2M in annual billings for information technology services. litigating patent, trade secret, trademark, copyright and licensing disputes, including patent claims against the Federal Government; and,
arbitrating computer software and other commercial transaction disputes.

Mr. Areaux obtained his J.D. from Loyola University where he was a member of the Law Review and published his commentary "Computer Software Protection: From Infancy to Adolescence."

Mr. Areaux holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering as well as a B.S. in Computer and Information Systems, both from Tulane University.

Prior to starting his law practice in 1985, Mr. Areaux was a product development engineer with IBM at its lab in Austin, Texas and then later a systems engineer with Conoco in New Orleans.

Russ Trahan, Dean - College of Engineering University of New Orleans LTC Board Member Russell E. Trahan, Jr. is a native of New Orleans, LA. He was born on January 30, 1949. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Engineering Sciences from the University of New Orleans in 1970 and 1973, respectively. In 1977 he received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, with a specialization in optimization and control. Since 1977 he has held a faculty position in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of New Orleans. Mark Krause, Captain U.S. Navy LTC Board Member Captain Krause graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Math and was commissioned an Ensign in May 1981. He completed flight training in Pensacola the following year and was designated a naval aviator in Oct 1982. Upon completing helicopter training, he transferred to San Diego in 1983 to begin his career as a LAMPS Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) pilot flying the SH-2F helicopter. From 1983 to 1986 he was assigned to HSL-35 in San Diego CA where he deployed on LAMPS detachments aboard Navy frigates and destroyers to the Indian Ocean. Following his first sea tour he was assigned to HSL-40 in Mayport FL as a flight instructor flying the SH-60B helicopter from 1986-1989.
